Overview
You can message carriers from within the Transport‑Wise dashboard. Two important rules affect when and how you can contact them:
- You must be signed in to the dashboard to send or read messages.
- You can only message a carrier who has first sent you a message to show interest in your job.
- Carrier phone numbers and email addresses remain hidden until the booking is accepted and the required deposit is paid.
How to message a carrier (step by step)
- Sign in to your Transport‑Wise dashboard.
- Open the job thread for the load or booking you posted, or go to your Messages area where incoming carrier messages appear.
- Find the carrier message — only carriers who have messaged you first will appear as reachable in the thread.
- Reply in the thread — keep the conversation focused on the job: timing, access, load specifics, required equipment, and any documents they need.
- Accept and pay the deposit to unlock the carrier’s contact details. Once the job is accepted and the deposit is paid, the platform will reveal the carrier’s protected contact information so you can call or email directly.
Practical tips
- Use the on‑platform thread to keep questions and answers tied to the job — this helps when comparing carriers.
- Don’t ask for phone numbers or personal email before the job is accepted; contact details are intentionally protected.
- If no carrier has messaged you yet, try clarifying the job description or responding to incoming bids to invite a carrier to start the thread.
FAQ
Can I message a carrier before they message me?
No. You can only reply to or continue a conversation after a carrier has messaged you first to show interest.
