What happens after your bid is accepted?

Accepted is not the same as operationally live. The job still needs the customer deposit step before live work fully opens.

When a customer accepts a carrier bid, the workflow is moving in the right direction, but the job is not fully operationally live until the required customer deposit step succeeds.

1Accepted does not mean everything is unlocked yet

The accepted bid creates the award state, but the job can still sit in a waiting phase until the customer completes the required deposit payment. That is why carriers should not treat award alone as the final operational state.

2What changes after payment

Once the payment requirement is satisfied, the job moves into the live-work workflow. From there the carrier can manage milestones and continue the job in the expected operational state.

3What carriers should do during the gap

Use the job thread to keep communication clear, but avoid assuming collection milestones should already be running if the job has not yet moved into live work.

Tip: The key distinction is award versus active live work. The payment step is what bridges those two states.
